Trillian, or Tricia McMillian as she was known on Earth, prior to its destruction by the Vogon Constructor Fleet, is one of only two humans to escape the planet Earth when the Vogons destroyed it to make way for a hyperspace bypass.
She had two white mice (Benjy and Frankie mouse), and met Arthur Dent once at a party in Islington, but before Arthur could develop any sort of romantic connection with her, she was whisked away by Zaphod Beeblebrox with the promise of seeing his spaceship. She possesses degrees in math and astrophysics.
Not much is really known about Trillian, as she was a relatively minor character in the book and TV series, but more information is likely to be given in the 2005 movie, as one scene in the trailer shows Arthur and Trillian kissing.
The character of Trillian was played by Sandra Dickinson in the TV series, and is played by Zooey Deschanel in the 2005 big budget Disney movie, "The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy". |
