Guide (and Narrator)
A wholly remarkable book. Although much of it is wildly inaccurate, it is nevertheless definitely worth a peek in to this vast compendium of knowledge. Quotes from the narrator are also included here. |

Arthur Dent
Principle character, prone to screwing things up and being generally unaware of his situation. Apparently he never could get the hang of Thursdays. He has some wonderfully naive, yet quoteworthy, comments. |

Ford Prefect
Terse at times, and verbose at others, Ford is a field researcher for the Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, and as such, possesses a working knowledge of the intricacies of the universe. That said, he has a knack for failing to mention certain seemingly important points until after they are no lnger important. |

Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz
Poetry is this Vogon's passion. Bad poetry, to be more precise. |

Trillian (Tricia McMillian)
Human woman who had long since escaped the Earth after meeting Zaphod Beeblebrox at a party in Islington. She doesn't usually have anything too important to say, but that doesn't mean that we won't take the time to pretend to listen to the hot chick. |

Zaphod Beeblebrox
President of the galaxy and world class screwup. Shares three of the same mothers as Ford. Some of the most famous sayings in the galaxy are his, or at least he seems like the type of guy to take credit for them until he gets caught in a lie and the whole thing blows up in his faces. |

Marvin The Paranoid Android
Robot with some serious depression issues. Thoroughly loathes pretty much anything pleasant. Doesn't even get on well with other robots. Nevertheless, he provides several of the most memorable lines in the whole shebang. |

Slartibartfast
Winner of an award for his work on the fjords of Norway. Yes, that Norway. Although his name is not important, his mad scientist demeanor results in some interesting quotes. |

The whale
The whale does not have a lot of screen time in this movie, but does try to come to terms with his existence nevertheless. You'd be surprised at how many people have actually taken the time to memorize the whale's single monologue. |

A bowl of petunias
What words of wisdom might this seemingly innocent bowl of petunias have to offer us? |

Mr. Prosser
IWell, somebody's got to build the bypass, right? |
Deep Thought
The supercomputer originally designed to answer, once and for all, the question of life, the universe, and everything. Just be forewarned... it's going to take some time. |
