Eddie is the Heart of Gold's onboard computer. Blessed (or cursed) with a particularly upbeat GPP (Genuine People Personality), Eddie provides his own unique style of humor to any situation, such as singing a song while waiting for nuclear missles to hit the ship.
The voice of Eddie was played by David Tate in the TV series, and is played by Tom Lennon in the 2005 big budget Disney movie, "The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy". |
